As one of the leading producers of lubricant oils in Korea,
the company produces more than 180 different types of lubricant
and grease products for automobiles, marine vessels and industrial
machinery.
Based on internal estimates, the Company believes that its share
of the domestic market for high-viscosity-index lubricant oils
was approximately 17% in terms of volume in 2004.
The company commenced production of lubricant oil products in
1969 and significantly expanded its operation with the addition
of an automated grease plant in 1987.
The lubricant oil blending and grease plants located in Inchon
have a production capacity of approximately 6,000 barrels of
lubricant per day and 6,000 metric tons of grease per year.
Lubricant oil products are produced by blending base oils such
as 150N, 500N and 150BS grade oils with additives such as detergents,
dispergents, viscosity-index improvers and other various functional
improvers.
Most of Company's lubricant oil products are produced under
technical assistance agreements with Caltex.
As the part of the effort to provide the high quality
of lubricant oil products, the company built the
up-to-date facilities in lubricant plants as well as introduced
quality control system such as ISO
14000, QS 9000 and TS 16949.
For the best satisfaction of customers, the company also provides
the technical advice and integrated logistics system.
To make the best sales environment, the company perseveres in
its efforts to promote efficiency in development of new products,
purchasing system, production, sales, and customer service. |

The Company's sales of lubricant oils amounted to approximately
1,111,816 barrels in 2004, of which 90% was sold in the Korean
market.
Sales of lubricant oils to the Company's sales agents (and through
such sales agents to service stations and outlets for resale
customers) is made primarily to the Government and other direct customers
like followings.
(1) OEM and industrial customers
Hyundai & Kia Motors, Doosan Infracore, Daerim Motors (motorcycle company),
Volvo Construction Equipment, Hyundai Heavy Industries, Clark,
POSCO (Pohang Steel), LG Electronics, LG Chemical,
LS Cable and other numerous industrial companies
(2) Government and association customers
Ministry of National Defence (Korean Military),
KEPCO (Korea Electric Power Corporation),
KORAIL (Korean National Railroad),
National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, Association,
Korean Shipping Association and so on |
